A dark-skinned man – only the credits give it away: It's the musician Robert A.A. Lowe – embarks on a spiritual journey which leads him from a rural hippie commune on an Estonian island to the solitude of Finland's north and finally to a rock club in Oslo, where he screams his heart out, as a Black Metal singer in white make-up. The fragmentarily narrated film is a meditation on the utopia of freedom and celebrates, with long camera settings and slow pan shots in enchanting colour arrangements, the sublime of nature as well as the in strobe light blossoming magic of a darkly romantic rock ritual.
